Breaking In

Last Saturday (20-6-2009), our house was broken in by two men (me and Ayah...hehe). The story goes like this. After maghrib, Ayah and I planned to eat our dinner outside since Mak, Kakngah and Aida went to KL. So, after maghrib at around 8.00 pm, we were both ready to go and Ayah was already in the car. Before I closed and locked the house door, I asked, "Ayah, kunci rumah dah ada ke?"....and Ayah said yes. So I didn't bring my set of keys as Ayah had brought his.

Just after I closed the door, suddenly Ayah showed me the keys he brought and asked me if they were mine. I said no. Then at that point we realised that we took the wrong keys! Oh man....huhu.. Then we got out from the car and try to open the door using the keys...As we both feared, it cannot be opened....then Ayah said, "Takpelah, kita pergi makan dulu. Lepas makan nanti kita fikir apa nak buat".

We ate the usual at Che Mek, nasi putih with the usual lauk...ikan siakap masak kicap, udang masak kunyit and etc (don't forget the cikong! The best cikong so far). But instead of sotong goreng tepung, they gave us udang goreng tepung! What the? The waiter made a mistake and wrote down udang insted of sotong. Well, at least the udang goreng tepung was delicious! Haha. Then I ordered warm water but when I try to drink it, man it was HOT! Hahaha...

After the last drop of cikong was finished, we head back to the house and again tried to open the door with the keys...haha. We tried using other tools to open it such as screwdrivers, other keys, but our effort was useless. Then at around 9.00 pm, Ayah had a meeting with Pakcik Azraai at his house in Taman Desa Skudai. While they had the meeting, I stayed in the car. After the meeting had finished, we went to Pasaraya Jalal and Ayah bought more screwdrives (little ones) and a little saw. Ayah's plan was to cut the lock at the door but when we tried it, it cannot be done. Then Ayah texted Mak and asked for suggestions. Mak suggested to go in through Kakngah and Aida's room. Then Ayah climbed the electric post, onto out balcony and opened the window and unfortunately, there was a padlock. Ayah asked me to look out if any police came by....Then I suggested to try and cut the padlock using the saw we bought. Again Ayah tried but no effect!...huhuhu.

Then Ayah climbed down and we went back to the front door. We kept trying to figure out how to open the door. Our last resort was to just smash down the door (as if that was easy...hahaha) . Before that, Mak suggested that we went back Kampung that night...hehe. Then we took the big screwdriver and "kopek" the door. After much "kopek"ing, the lock was exposed and Ayah "godek-godek" the lock and tadaaaa!!!! the door finally opened!!! ALHAMDULILLAH was our first word that came out of our mouth at that time....

The cause of all this was because there was this one set of keys that looked much alike the home keys...and it was placed inside where our home keys were usually placed...that made the confusion. We hope this never happens again and be more careful next time. =)
